About

In my 30 years in hospitality, I have always had an inquisitive mind when it comes to accommodating people; from dreams of building for backpackers in Africa to building micro hotels across the globe, to exploring how all generations will live in harmony in thriving communities.

I am now sharing my experience, skills and knowledge in this new advisory capacity. So why get in touch?

I was the Founder and CEO of Yotel, with over £1b hotels across the globe. Previously I worked in hospitality operations for Hyatt, Marriott and Conran Restaurants. At HVS, I conducted feasibility and valuation studies across the globe from W Hotels, Malmaison to resort complexes in Egypt. Always exploring how design, technology, service and community can transform people’s lives, I like to push the boundaries of real estate to create new sectors to improve the physical environment where people interact and live.

02 ZEDWELL

Located in one of the most iconic buildings in London, the Trocedero, Zedwell is a hotel that provides calm and promotes sleep in the heart of Central London. Advice included: Creation of Business Plan and First year Budget; Rebranding, Pre Opening Project Plan, Interior Design, Recruitment, Sound and Scent Architecture.

04 SOCIETY

Launched Co Living brand called Society to provide rented homes in urban locations with hospitality services. Carried out: Branding, Business Plan, fund raising, site acquisitions and feasibility, recruitment, SOPs, App to manage admin and services for members. Ultimately this never worked out but you learn as much from the successes as the perceived failures. Its still a sector I find fascinating and one that is sure to grow globally.

01 YOTEL

Having sold my home and joined forces with Simon Woodroffe (Yo! Sushi), we were the pioneer in affordable luxury micro hotels which every major hotel brand in the world has now followed suit. Led all aspects of the business from fund raising, design, project management and construction, operations, branding, PR, asset management, management contracts, legal and acquisitions. We carried out deals across the globe from New York, London, Singapore, San Francisco to name but a few with a variety of large and institutional investors. Structures included leases, management contracts and owner operator.

03 OFF GRID

I have always been inquisitive about hospitality and nature and so created a concept for an off grid hospitality concept featuring luxury tents, cabins and ancillary facilities such as farm to table restaurant, woodland spa and delightful moments of design.

Consultancy for new lifestyle chain of hotels in UK. Advice included: Business Plan, Operational, Recruitment, Sound Architecture, Business Plan and SOPs for Members Club component.
